As the gateway city to southern Texas, San Antonio sits in the center of the lower half of Texas, the easternmost state along the US border with Mexico. It is the nation's tenth-largest metros in terms of size and the state's biggest tourism draw as it retains a relaxed atmosphere mingled with romance and historical mystery. Due to the semitropical climate in San Antonio, the best time for visiting is spring or fall.
Accomodation in San Antonio ranges from the most luxury hotels to the budget and cheap hotels and motels. You can find a superior tourist class hotel like the Emily Morgan and the Menger Hotel San Antonio as well as those cheap motels with price starting from only $42.
Modern San Antonio remains as much Vaquero as "buckaroo". They are likely to greet you ears as ubiquitous "Howdy" and their friendship will surely make you feel probably the most important-or at least the most visible- the lively blend of American and Mexican cultures.
